Voiceover Studio Chicago

Hi, I'm Darren.  I've been a successful voiceover talent in Chicago for many years.  I've also had a recording studio in which I have generated voiceover demos for myself and others.  I resisted putting up a web site for voiceover demo creation, but finally came to believe it was absolutely necessary.   

Here's why...  Though voiceover is a very difficult business to get into and make reliable income, some voiceover demo producers are charging higher and higher prices for this essential audio calling card.  Even beginners, people who have very little chance of making a living with their voices, have been forking over two or three thousand dollars — or more — when the chance of recouping that investment is very small.  Having produced demos for many union and non-union talents in my production studio over the years, I decided to provide working actors with a sane alternative to what I think are sometimes wildly overpriced voiceover demos. 

I wanted to provide a good quality, lower-priced alternative for people wanting to make a voiceover demo.  There are people who might still want to pay to have a million dollar studio produce a minute to minute and a half voiceover demo.  But there are other people who understand that a voiceover demo doesn’t have to be a diamond-studded work of art.  (There is no 'Demo' category in the Grammys.)  It just has to be good enough to do what any demo is supposed to do:  get paying work for the voiceover actor. 

If money is no object, you have stars in your eyes, and you're just absolutely gosh-darn SURE you'll be a huge hit right away, turn off your computer, and go pay whatever price you like.  But if you want the low-down on the sometimes harsh realities of this business, have a drive to succeed, a great voice and an impressive ability to interpret the written word, you've come to the right place.
